Q. How often should the filters be cleaned?

A. Your filters should be cleaned about every other week.  The following steps will help you in cleaning your filters.

  1. Shut system off at GFCI.  Remove cartridge.
  2. Place the cartridge on a clean surface and begin to spray with a garden hose.  It will be necessary to rotate the cartridges to insure all filter pleats have been cleaned.
  3. Complete cleaning by spraying down throughout the center of the cartridge (inside out).
  4. Re-inspect filter and reinstall.
  5. A complete and more thorough cleaning can be achieved by soaking cartridges in a filter cleaning solution.  Follow directions on label.  This procedure is recommended at least once a month.  Filters should be replaced once a year.

Q. What jets go in our spas?

A. Most spas used Waterway Jets until June of 1999.  At that point American Products (Pac Fab) began to be phased into production of the spas.

Q. Why do jets keep popping out of the spa?

A. Over time, the plastic on the jets can become worn down or brittle.  This causes the jets not to be able to lock into position correctly.

Q. When should the Versa-Flo™ valves be cleaned?

A. Once you begin to find it difficult to operate the Versa-Flo™ valves, follow these steps to clean the valves:

  1. Shut system down.
  2. Remove valve cover.  Valve cover is located below the handle.
  3. Clean or remove debris from valve or diverter.
  4. Re-assemble and thread down valve cover.

Q. How do you know if the ozone is working?

A. Take a look at the window opening on the ozone unit.  If there is an ultra violet light on, then the ozone is working.  If light is out, the chip or the entire unit needs to be replaced.

Q. How does aroma therapy work?

A. The aroma therapy works by opening the aroma therapy canister and placing the scented beads (including bag) inside the canister.  Close the aroma therapy canister after inserting beads.  The next step is to press the blower button on, so that the aroma therapy can begin to work.
